With a secure Velcro back pocket and adjustable waist with drawcords, it is both functional and comfortable. Have other shorts that fit great. But these have an unusually short rise. Uncomfortable. They are a little tight in the waist but I can live with that. But the rise is uncomfortable. I don't recommend these. I've worn once, so they won't accept an exchange for one larger size. But I don't expect that would improve the rise.
