The One Love Polo
Abusive relationships are a widespread epidemic affecting our country more than most realize or admit. According to the National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey, over 1 in 3 women, over 1 in 2 trans or non-binary people, and 1 in 3 men will experience an abusive relationship. Yet, only 33% of teens who have been in an abusive relationship ever tell anyone. (National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey)
We are proud to partner with One Love to create both a Men’s and Women’s Performance Polo to aid in the fight against relationship abuse. One Love was founded to honor Yeardley Love, a young woman tragically killed by her ex-boyfriend on May 3, 2010, just three weeks before graduating from the University of Virginia. During the trial, her family learned there were signs that Yeardley was in an abusive relationship.
Since its inception in 2010, One Love has dedicated itself to educating, empowering, and activating young people to recognize and address the signs of unhealthy relationships. Through its workshops, One Love has reached over 2.4 million people, educating students and communities across the country.
Yeardley’s impact in our home community of Charlottesville, VA will not be forgotten and we are honored to be able to create a shirt in her memory. We will be donating 20% of all net sales from The One Love Performance Polo to One Love. If you would like to support One Love directly, you can click here. Thank you so much for your support in fighting relationship abuse.
